We had to stay at the hotel because our flight was cancelled. When we arrived it was very frantic and there was a queue out of the door because so many other people had cancelled flights. The staff where fab. They brought biscuits out for everyone stood out in the cold which was a lovely thing to do. The staff were so busy, but they had time to welcome everyone and where very kind and friendly. Its horrible when you're expecting to go on holiday and instead you end up spending the night at Manchester airport, but my family and I agreed that the staff brightened up what was a miserable experience. I imagine that the staff where very busy and overloaded with the amount of people that turned up, but they didn't show it. Thanks for being a bright spot in a pretty miserable flight experience

This is a great hotel though you need a taxi to get there from the airport. I really like staying here but felt ripped off this time as I didn't realize having paid for the breakfast that the kitchen only opens at 5 am and I had to leave for my flight at 4:30 a.m. and no refund was available unfortunately. They offered to bag my a breakfast to take with me but when I got to reception there was nothing and no one there! They have a handy affordable airport shuttle service here - just be sure to book it in advance. Otherwise this is a great venue and their famous warm cookie on arrival with a hot cuppa is wicked :)

The hotel had a better feeling of cleanliness, it was clear from walking in there has been some positive changes with staff, management etc because the hotel had new carpets, new decor , the bar and restaurant area where now fresh looking, cleaner, and a nice place to spend time ( my previous stay overall hotel and bar area was looking unkempt and bar area and restaurant was not that good ). There is a wonderful improvement with the food and the menu. A lot more choices now available and the food we had was beautiful, especially the tandoori chicken thigh starter.

Room was spacious and clean. Had a great night’s sleep. Location from airport was perfect. Staff on reception were brilliant, and the welcome warm cookie was a nice touch; especially after having been travelling for 18 hours. Breakfast was lovely. Good selection of fruit (though the watermelon wasn’t the ripest) and berries, yogurts and pastries. The cooked breakfast was spot on. The bar was great, and thankfully still open when I checked-in at 11pm. Staff member serving was friendly.

A really comfortable stay before our flight early in the morning. The staff are lovely and the rooms were a great size with really comfortable beds. Tea and coffee facilities which is always a plus. The hotel is actually very close to the train station and bus station but there aren't many signs towards it which made it a bit hard to navigate. But once you know where you're going it's really close so it's definitely walkable to the terminals, unlike some other airport hotels.
